You are not paid for the activity. You are paid for the problem that stops happening because you are there. Four tools: the problem notepad, the skill stack, the credential test, and the running file that writes your raise case for you.
1. The problem notepad
The thing everybody complains about and nobody owns. Every time it happens, write down when and why. Three months of this is the whole method.
2. The skill stack
It touches the work I already do. I could use it on Monday and people would see it.
3. The credential test
Before you pay for a certificate: open five postings for the role you want next and mark whether each one lists it as required.
4. What I did this year
Four lines a month, each with a number. In twelve months it writes your raise case by itself.
